About Us

The idea for DataQuest started back in the late 1980’s when our founder, Mark Binkley, helped his father implement an Accpac system during a college internship.  For the next 12 years, Mark’s focus on doing a thorough, high-quality job developed into an exceptional reputation in the field that produced project after project as an independent contractor.

DataQuest was officially launched in 1997.  For years the company operated as a full-service Accpac reseller.  But due to a growing need by manufacturing companies and distributors for a broader, comprehensive software platform to help with all areas of the business, the company aligned with Sage’s open source partner, Technisoft, to provide the manufacturing and distribution sector-standard Service Manager™.

Today DataQuest is one of the premier solutions providers for manufacturers and distributors the world over.  Service Manager™ is the defacto standard for manufacturers who want a comprehensive, customized solution that handles all areas of the business including—accounting, inventory management, labor scheduling and customer resource management (CRM).
